Wonderful animation that explains how neurons work

This powerful animation clip shows how neurons work. The more we visualize these biological reactions the more we begin to understand the complexity of biological systems. Hopefully there will be more of these sort of biological animations in future and these will be incorporated into our education system.

more clips… this is very helpful and has opened my eyes to how the nerves really work, you can’t really understand how the brain works from illustrations in a book – watch this movie and be atonshished at the wonders of the human brain!

First, this video was planned to be the culmination of my 5th graders’ study of neurons during their CNS (first) section of Human Body Systems unit. The children were fascinated by the neuron videos from biosingularity. Second, unplanned by me, they wanted to go to your site about right and left brain research. We spent the rest of the class period looking at the other videos on the site.! They were amazed with even the shortest clips and so intrigued that the next day they opted to go to the back to the videos rather than review for their section test!
I have continued to view the full set of videos from both sites and have found that many of my students have done so as well. Youtube and biosingularity are to be CONGRATULATED for such a high standard of work that can be understood by both children and adults. AND that you have been willing to share it freely to educate the world!

This video is real cool and I love it so much because anything that is biology related captures my heart. The neuron play a major role in our lives and it allows us feel anything which makes life very interesting….

This was fascinating. The brain being so complicated to me and many…..was made so interesting..in a simplified manner. I watched it many times.
